Turbo Timer??

ok so i've been looking around, keeping in mind that i need guages and a turbo timer pretty much first before i get into doing any other mods and i've found this new Apex'i Turbo timer with a built it Air/Fuel ratio meter...here's a link http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_timer.asp these things go for under 120 US and i've always been impressed with apex'i products so what does anyone else have to say...

also anyone that has a timer already or just knows....how hard is it to install one? i know the A?F part just goes to the 02 sensor, but how is the timer hooked up? I've seen some timers can be ordered with wiring kits (i assume like a car stereo, making things plug and play) but i doubt anyone has a kit for the s12....so just lookin for a heads up.

I used one when installing a GReedy turbo timer in my friend's Talon, making the install much easier.

Back to the top, becuase I have bought a KNC turbo timer w/out instructions.

it has a single black wire witha bullet type connector on the end.

Then a harness with a red, yellow and blue wire .

Red goes to the top pin of the harness, blue and yellow, side by side.

As i understand these are wired into the ignition...

Any ideas?

I have a HKS Type 0 turbo timer installed in my 1985 200sx Turbo. You can see pictures of it in the photo album. Installing a turbo timer is cake if you buy the wiring harness. It was easier than putting a new cd player in my car.

Im not sure the HKS wiring harness would work with my KNC turbo timer.

I can't find any info about the KNC turbo timer online either!

Aftermarket turbo timers I've seen all use standard color combinations for their wiring so you can use a HKS wiring harness with any turbo timer.
