i guess switching the flanges is the best way to go. at first, i would say modify the holes so they match up. but, i supose thats not very proper. icon_wink.gif

there is no way of knowing if the 300zx will fit? could be longer or could be shorter??? I would just switch the flanges. But thats me (you already have the parts for it)

Nope my drive shaft flange and my diff flange connect perfectly But the bolts holes don't meet perfectly.

i'm useing a 88 vlsd from a z31 ss

so i guess i'm gonna take everything back off
and take the flange off my old diff and put it on my new one
yay! haha

here goes another 2 months!
j/p
thanks

excuse the silly question, but have you rotated the driveshaft around?

the bolt pattern is rectangular in layout, not square so the shaft will only line up in two parts of the revolution, not four......

does that make sense? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

just try lining the different driveshaft holes up to one hole in the flange..........

worth a try.

uhmm ... no, the solid axle is not LSD. And you'll need to swap EVERYTHING over from the 85 IRS. But it's not an LSD either ... sorry.

And the ca20e I believe was 102hp ...

..... this started as a great thread of new info and as usual gets of topic by someone who should be starting a new post or using the search feature....anyway...Mark is it all together?

MyMomsS12Nov 25, 2003, 5:47 pm · #19

Hello All

wow this threads still alive! j/p
but yeah I got everything running good

the LSD swap was acutally kinda simple
i know it took me forever but if i had the right tools and all parts
before i started the swap and some guidance it would only be
about a 2 day job

QUICK parts list
LSD, halfsahfts, new seals, OIL, and compaion flanges (for the halfshaft)
other than swaping some flanges it'll be a direct bolt on for r200

if anyone has any ?'s just ask away

also on dec 5th at button willow near socal i'm going to be going to a drift event
its for about 20 drivers and from 8am-5pm!!!! they're opening one side of the track + the skid padd!! whooooooooo
it was 120 bucks but its better than geting caught by the cops
i'll take lots of pics
later guys
