I have DR30 Skyline here in Los Angeles. I'm trying to figure out what oil filters from US models will interchange? Also, any other engine components interchangeable with US-model parts?

Drooooooool Well to answer your question you might want to see how a CA series filter compares. I know I bought a guinuine Nissan filter at the dealer once and it listed all the other nissans it fit and from what I recall it listed just about every US market 4 cylinder car they ever made. Just a guess but i'd be surprised if it were any different for the FJ.

You can use a standard L20B filter, its bigger and screws straight on.

be very careful when you do replace it.

i got a "listed" replacement filter, and being an idiot, i didnt compare it to the original when i changed it.

the filter was the same, but the seal was slighty smaller in diameter.
it worked ok for a day, but next morning i found a pool of oil under the car as part of the engine block had cut its way through the seal.

the filter was also listed for another nissan four cyl. but i cant remeber which.

oh, and as far as compatible parts, probably oil/fuel filters will and maybe sparkplugs. thats pretty much it.

these motors are pretty much an orphan, and have very little in common with anything else.
