well i just pulled my 5th starter today, im waiting for my ride to pick me up so i can get the replacement.
i went thru like 4 of them, hmc 16875. then the guy told me there was a better one with a slightly different design hmc 16803.
this newer one has lasted me 4 months or more, which is better than the others, but an issue i found is that the rubber boot over the main post was melted to it, i called a buddy of mine, he said maybe the voltage regulator is frying the starters i put in...
im a pizza delivery driver, i need my starters to work, is this a good solution, to replace the alternator or voltage regulator?
i do have a bit of a charging problem as well, buy radio will shut off if i have headlights on, electric fans on, and any type of bass related music playing loud.
so far ive added a ground kit i made, and an optima battery
i plan on adding a 2ga charge cable when i do the alternator....
any comments?
