okay, I wired it up according to gerry's description and I dont think I'm getting any power to the ECU. I turn the ignition to ON and I see no LEDs flashing.
ECU relay (red/black) to the relay I wired in the suggested configuration.
ECU backup power (red) to 12v constant
ECU power (black/white) to 12v switched
and I don't see any lights.
Now, if I wired up the relay like a normal relay would it change things?
pin 86 to 12v switched
pin 85 to ground
pin 30 to 12v constant
pin 87 to ECU (red/black wire)
Even if the relay is wrong, shouldn't I still get power from the backup power wire and power wires I hooked directly to 12v and 12v switched respectively?
I'm getting frustrated with this...*sigh*
I had the same problem with my fuel pump. It wasn't working when I first wired it up until I rewired it using a conventional relay wiring schematic.
I'm not saying gerry's method doesn't work, but for me, it hasn't. And I'd like some input from him possibly cause maybe he may know what I'm doing wrong.
edit: Am I supposed to take all the ground wires off the ECCS and ground them myself?
