Hi all, This is to anyone who is looking into buying MMR-directs diff bushing.
DOOO IT!!!
The car feels so much awesomely better, Gets rid of so much rear squat and decreased the amount of negative camber. The car is lowered in the rear and I have as close as it make no difference 0* of negative camber.
Now I'm not sure how much this would help on a stock car with only this bushing. I have poly sub frame and sway bar bushings. But it is defiantly worth the $25 bucks and should be a modification for all S12 drivers.

Diff Compatability?
did it . same time I made solid sub frame mounts. both of thoes mods together made a big difference.
I've looked and pondered, how difficult of an install is this? its pretty visible (on a rack) so id assume just support the rear end, remove & replace the bushing right? i didnt see any adjacent componenets that could get in the way.
Sorry to pest you wit a PM but I was just wondering where you can purchase the subframe spacers that drastically reduce the negative camber in the s12. Thank you very much!Paul just left, and I felt the need to reply to your PM Redneck.. I felt it would be good info for everyone to know as well, so i hope you don't mind me posting it in this thread.
MMR Direct
You need the sub-frame bushings and the diff bushings. These are parts designed for the S12, so they will 100% for sure fit. We have also swapped the rest of the bushings in the car, but by far the sub-frame and diff bushings reduced the negative camber by far the most!
We didn't use MMR's sub-frame bushings (although Paul wishes he had, since fudging the Z31's in was a real bitch!).

We simply jacked the car up and put it on two jack stands to support the rear, then jacked the diff up and took the bolts out of the diff mount and poped it off the diff with a crow bar. After it was out, the old bushing was mush, so i pried it out of the metal sleeve with a very small crow bar, and we used a BFH (Hammer) to hammer in the new bushing(didn't take any damage, this bushing is HARD!!). We replaced the sleeve back onto the diff and into the frame, and bolted it all back together... took awhile simply because we chose to do the rear brake pads at the same time.
I spent quite a bit of money on the car today, put the new bushings in, welded a new muffler on, new brakes on the rear (organic)... Yeah, the car really improved today.

So, I gather there is a difference between the S12 and Z31 rear bushing sets? I want to order the whole rear package, for my 88 S12 SE hatch, I was under the impression this S12 (87-88 SE's) and the Z31 were the same. I have e-mailed MMR and not heard back from them. I don't want to put hard earned money down on a product and spend weeks resolving this issue after taking delivery of ill-fitting parts. Shed any light?
Peace, Wolf
Well the Z31 subframe bushings from prothane are a bit too tall to work right in the S12, I had the shave them down with an angle grinder.
The MMR ones are stiffer and are made to fit exactly
Any pics?
I was dark when I did it so you cant see shit from the pics
Perhaps you have pics before and after just to see the camber difference.
Thanks
lol nope sorry, guess I could go out and take a picture of the car now and you could see how little camber there is
Ok I'll take the picture.
Can you tell me your drop and your rear tire size too
Ha ha rear drop idk 1" somewhere around that, 195 60 15's
hes some pics of it now, I know I need to get the car lower but the speedbumps in our park suck.

IMPRESSIVE
wow..did you turn the subframe bushings upside down (I've read that it helps the camber issue also)..or put them in correctly?
Looks excellent.

I didnt even think about putting them in upside down, I put them in correctly I guess.
hey guys, i recently picked up an 86' turbo r200, and i own an 85' turbo. i just read somewhere that the diffs from the mk1 and the mk2 were slightly different? the 86 is considered mk1.5 correct? so just curious as to if the 86' r200 is identical to the 85' r200. its lying in my garage but im currently out of state so i cant simply take a look.
thanks in advance
henry
I just posted a topic on this. The R200 to 4/86 has 10mm ring/crown bolts, from 4/85 has 12mm. This is the size of the stud of the bolt not the head. Any advice on easiest fix to use small bolt ring in large bolt diff is greatly appreciated.
