What other tranny can i get a slave cylinder that will work for the fj? Cause the fork going into the tranny bent and the slave wasnt fully aligned with the fork so pressing down on the clutch was really really really stiff. And today the slave went out on me so now pressing on the clutch is like butter and it will not go in gear. sad.gif
Slave Cylinder?????
Well took the slave off and its ok but the fork going into the tranny is broken so do i need a new tranny or can that be fixed?
no you don't need a new tranny, but you are going to have to remove the tranny to replace the fork. check your vin tag in the engine bay. You should have a FS5W71B tranny...if so grab a fork from any B tranny Nissan...I think C forks are the same, but I don't have both here to confirm this right now.
I have a Ka24e tranny would the fork off the ka work for the FJ tranny???
The lieklyhood is yes. you have to take your tranny apart anyways (seperate it from the motor) so you may as well seperate it and see. May save you looking any further than the tranny you have laying around.

the fj transmission code is FS5W71B
so any "b" series forkshould fit. are you sure its broken? it may have just come unclipped from the pivot or bearing holder, either way, you'll need to take the gearbox out sad.gif
Thanks that was what i was looking for so that means i can use one from a 240z. 260z, or something like that. Time to get the tranny off.
