Ca18det Wiring Question (searched)

Hey guys, I've read up on the writeups many members have done on how to swap the CA18DET motor into our S12 200sx's. However, one thing I am confused about, the wiring.

the writeup by keith I've seen here mentions to use an S13 harness. Is he saying to go out and buy a harness from a Nissan 240sx? or when he says S13 harness, does he mean the harness that came with the CA18DET?

yeah, he means to use the s13 ca18det harness. im doing the same swap very soon and keith's write up seems to be the easiest to understand

Alright, cool, thats what I was hoping for. One other thing, Does anyone know what the purpose of that wiring keith did was for? im guessing its to connect the S13's egi harness to the 200sx's existing wires?

Also, what about fuel, is the 200sx fuel pump (mines CA20 so I doubt it) sufficient for boost? or would an upgrade be necessary?

i would suggest upgrading the fuel pump if you intend to go past stock applications. the most popular upgrade seems to be a walbro 255. its a pretty straight forward install..
