Anyone install a Nismo fuel regulator on their ca18det? Just wondering if there are any clearence issues, since the ca-det sits so close to the firewall in a s12

does it have to be mounted right behind the fuel rail? Cant you run some hose and mount it to the firewall or inner fender somewhere?

I dunno for sure........the Nismo one has an o ring on it and has 2 bolt holes. My guess is that one has to mounted to the rail.

Here it is........

Now the universal ones on ebay with the gauge built in can be mounted anywhere.....but don't they work in conjunction with your oe regulator?

possibly...but what is the point of having a aftermarket fpr hooked up before the factory fpr unless you want to run less fuel then stock? I would think if you buy a aftermarket ebay one you should remove the factory one.

Looks like I would need to use this adaptor to be able to relocate the fpr.......

I run a Nismo FPF on my s13, the clearance is no different than the standard regulator, but you do have to bend the outlet pipe from the reg to clear the runner flange, and use a length of hose to connect it up as its not the same shape as standard.

Keith I used that exact adapter to the nismo type b regulator. Fits pretty good when it's all together. I'll get a pic if you want.
