Ca18et Has How Much Horsepower With Out Turbo?

Okay, from what I can find.

CA18E = 90hp - 90ft/tq
CA18ET = 120hp - 134ft/tq - Gaining 30hp from T2 Turbo.
CA18DET = 145hp - 156ft/tq

1. Are these figures Wheel Horsepower or Crank?

2. What does the DET has for N/A horsepower?

3. Upping my T2 turbo to a T3 with Bartco's T3 header would give me how much HP.

4. What is stock 1/4 times with a CA18ET ?

5. I need to know the weight of my vehicle.

Can anyone help me on these 5 questions?

I'm really excited about the potentials of our cars more so then my monte. It's why I ask all these quesions. I know I'm asking some of you a bunch of questions. I just want to make sure I'm going down the right paths. I hope you understand.

Thanks!

crank (break/brake) as in BHP not WHP. except the CA18DET has 175bhp stock not 145.

DET in NA form is a DE (cuz the T stands for "TurbochargedT) so look up HP for CA18DE. Came in the '88 Nissan Pulsar NX SE in the US.

How much power you gain depends GREATLY on your setup, the specific turbo, and how much boost you choose to run.

Bart's ca18et ran a 13.xx if I'm not mistaken but you'd have to ask him his setup at the time. As for a stock 200sx turbo I dont know.

A stock MK1 (84-86.5) turbo prob weighs 2600 to 2700 pounds depending on options.

Search for all your questions. There are threads about most of this already.

I've searched for everything I asked on this board. It always comes up blank.

Correct me if I'm wrong but what does this say for the CA18DET? This websites Information

It says "CA18DET 4 1809cc 83 83.6 DOHC FI Turbo 145hp@6400rpm 156ftlb@4000rpm"

I too thought there was more HP in the DET motor. I just wanted to make sure is all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I just wish there was more sticky's on how too's for the s12's. But thanks for your info you gave me though!

it was probablly a typo the DET will always have 175 hp at the crank. remember you lose 12% cause of the drive shaft and all that.the 300ZX turbos are actually making less then 200hp at the wheels more like 172hp, and the NA even less.

The CA20E is making 102 at teh crank and 70 hp at teh wheels... so yeah those figures look to be some what correct.

there are two styles of the det. one has less hp than the other. most ca18dets have the tb pointing towards the front of the car but some det have the tb over the valve cover like a 18et. ask sam on here.
your questions...
1.crank
2.just get a n.a. engine. when na there is no replacement for displacement
3. it will not increase anything without tuning. it will move your spool time around just swapping turbos but u will not see hp increase. more boost + tuning = more power
4. all depends on the driver, and condition of car
5. check on your divers side door jamb. theres a metal plate with all that info. look for gross vehicle weight.
