well picked up the old 87 200sx a little while ago now she was tired 280 000k on her so i figured with a bit of cash lying around i would rebuild it the goal is 300hp on the ground pretty high but anythings possible most of my parts will be custom built by bart heres a list of whats goin in

ca18det rods
ca18det .20 over forged pistons
DET crank
apexi safc-2
custom top mount with evo 3 big 16g turbo
barts intercooler kit and fuel rail
colt cam
adjustable cam pully
turbo back 3inch exhaust with flowmaster muffler
370cc injectors
high flow oil pump
walbro fuel pump
DET girdel

thats most off the top of my head im sure i forgot somethings here and there if you have any suggestions feel free to share besides that i should have some pics of the engine torn apart soon and the head its getting ported and one know what max boost you can throw through the ET is?

high flow oil pump

where do you get one of these?

oh you wont be able to use a det crank on the et block as the front sections of the det cranks are different then the et's

the real question is why. swapping a DET into the car will be both cheaper and less work. theres always the "because i can" element that people seem to do with cars, but thats not a good excuse to waste money on custom parts and such

If not that, just get an entire bottom end of a CA18DET, and use the ET top end/electronic stuff, as the DET bottom end would answer half those questions and be more complete/easier to work with as well. Its a direct bolt in, btw.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but why start another with this one just popping up?

My mate has a CA18ET in a 910 Bluebird. It's a sweet engine, its taken floggings for the last 3 years and just wants more.

Anyhow my question is:
The car has a T25G, CA20e intake manifold and throttle body, 410cc Injectors, Microtech Computer, 2.5 inch exhaust dumped before the diff, pod, front mount, custom exhaust manifold and a turbosmart bleed valve.

On 17psi it made like 229.4hp at the treads. What do you guys think could be next to up the power without DET blocks etc?

Are CA20e throttle bodies restrictive?

(ps. 8 spark plugs = euro cam, right?)

pss. sorry to hijack.

psss. where the heck did i get this sig from :s

I was gonna point out some flaws in your plan but instead I'm gonna say this...

well i in victoria bc this is the only 200sx ive seen on this island one other one with a ca20 so the only way to get a DET is getting one shipped and i'd rather build mine have a good motor that i built then have something that could be on the verge of blowing up i think the biggest hold back in these motors is the head so once i get that opened up that should help quite a bit

nothing wrong with taking something good and making it better its no different then then the whole ka thing... people just swapped in sr's and said to ditch the ka and dont waste money on it... either way you;ll have a quick s12
