Which Oil Pressure Sending Unit When Swapping?

My s12 has a factory oil pressure gauge.
Which oil pressure sending unit will I need to use?
Can I use the ca18det unit and have my gauge work or will I have to use my original ca20e sending unit?
I heard the ca18det unit is a on/off switch for the oil pressure dummy light and wouldn't work with the gauge.
Thanks!

I'd just swap the 20e one over, if not you can do it while it's in the car too. It's easy to get to. I told turbos12 to use his et one and his gauge works perfect. I didn't ask him to test is DET sender though.

The DET only has a switch, so your gauge will either read 'high' or 'low'.

The CA20E one for an S12, is a definate replacement for the DET switch. It works, and is reasonably accurate.
