I'm planning to swap a CA18DET in the summer till I get some money instead to build power;
I live in Lebanon actually,I went to a Nissan genuine parts shop and asked for the engine's price,they told me that they can sell me a used one for 350$ and another shop told me that it costs 500.
Anyway what should I do to make some serious power (about 500Hp) to beat BMW's bodyboys & M3'(V6 3.2/3.5L 24VALVES TURBO)"maniacs" in our village (Mountain roads & Highways) and modifications to suspension,TRANS...etc;
Which turbo must I use and please tell me about all the stuff I should do,thanks a lot.
& one last question,which engine do you think is best the RB20DET or the CA?

To make 500hp don't bother starting with either the CA or RB20. SR, FJ or RB25/26 can make those figures achivable & relativly driveable.

The CA is a good engine and can make 500+ but cost, reliability, and street driveability will be sacrificed.

Dont put a RB series in if u wanna keep down the weight.

I would go with a SR considering your location and goals.

BTW NICO has lots of good info bout higher HP CA and SR builds. Just google NICO if ur not familiar with it.

good luck
