This concerns my 86 S12 C-Series Tranny and my 89 KA24E SOHC.

I'm going to be completing the swap here soon and I would like some advice on what a good reliable clutch would be for the added power.

Like I said I'll be using the C-Series S12 tranny.

My KA24E should have around 180HP and 190ft.lbs. so a clutch that can cope with a little more than stock CA18ET HP numbers.

Thanks.

A standard KA24E/DE clutch will be fine. Bart used one and was putting out somewhere around 225-250hp without any problems. The KA24E is modest compared to that.

Save your money and don't buy anything fancy; a standard Exedy or the like in OEM specs is cost effective and more than you will need.

SO an OEM GripForce clutch should do the trick easily?

US $65 online.

Really? I would think 250whp would make it slip, bad..

ya my friend had to switch out his clutch for a act clutch kit beause it kept slipping at 5psi now it spikes at 22psi and holds at 20psi no slip in the clutch

If you need to get one....
XTD six puck all day long. I've got one in each of my cars, except my automatic BMW... Cheap, effective, withstands abuse, and gets the job done while laughing at you, and it's cheapo's
