I did some searching and found limited info about fuel pump information specifically about installing a walbro fuel pump. I dont know maybe im just bad at searching.

1. Is it true that the fuel pump varies between 9 volts and 12 volts.

2. Do i have to run new wires for a constant 12 volt.

3. What wires do i have to splice into on the harness if i have to run new wires.

2. Do i have to run new wires for a constant 12 volt. dont think so. i didnt..

3. What wires do i have to splice into on the harness if i have to run new wires.I *THINK*(its like 1am so dont hold me too it) black/red is your power that goes to the pump relay, which is your power.and black is ground. pretty easy wiring.

Its pretty simple wiring. check the FSM thats on here somewhere for a diagram if you need it.

Awsome my man i will give it a go as soon as i get the pump. I was supposed to have it already however the guy that was supposed to get me one might not be able to get a hold of it.

i put a welbro 255 in my car the other day, very simple.

i would run a 10-12ga + wire and use the same gauge to ground if you want constant 12v. might want to put a 20a fuse inline too. i believe stock is the variable voltage system, id avoid using that. you can use almost any walbro, really. like im using a prelude walbro 190lph right now and it works well

does the pump control the voltage or does the wiring harness control the voltage.

the wiring harness the pump does nothing to the voltage

i heard also that when you are using an 255 walbro the original feul pressure regulator would be overrun? someone who knows?

yea, I think a 255 would overpower. I've been running a 190, for relay, no 12v constant, and haven't had any problems... yet.

ok i got a 240sx pump for free to use while i wait for my walbro which should have been here a week ago.

anyway i want to know how the harness changes the voltage and disable it or do i have to run my own wires.

Im still haveing power issues and sometimes the pump just shuts off. I realize even this pump could be bad but i think if i stop it from changing voltage it will solve alot of issues. if nothing else it will make me feel better.

which pump did you get? 190 or 255? For the nissan pump, you should not need to rewire it. If for some reason you still want to rewire it, get a 30a 12v dc relay, and an inline fuse. Run the line from your battery, to the relay, to your pump. Then you need to wire the relay to a switched 12v source and a ground.
