I am curious, (as I have a nice gouge in my ca18det crank that might not machine out...)
if a Pulsar (ca18de) crankshaft will work in replacement...I have heard from some it is identical, and I've heard from others that it is not.

I also need help finding 1 rod for a CA18det...any idea what else has the same rods?

I need help asap..... Let me know guys. biggrin.gif

DE/DET cranks should be the same. Same with the rods. The pistons are the difference between the DE and DET. DE has higher compression ratio obviously.

as far as the c/r gors i think its due to the cc of the head cause the det pistons are basically flat with small reliefs for the valves and in order to up the cr the de even if completely flat wouldnt accout for enough cc's to up the cr to the level of the ca18de
