title says it all, I have a chance to pickup a FWD CA18DET for $350. Aside from the manifolds, are they interchangable?

you may also have an issue with the water pump or the return line to the radiator being turned for the FWD in a totally wrong angle for RWD. worth taking some photos of the rwd version off the net with you or a FSM and seeing what is off, before you buy.
may still be very much worth it though depending on your willingness to swap parts to make it work.

Agreed.
If you've got a dead RWD one, you can just swap it all over. Otherwise, you'll be on a long mission to find everything you need to do it.

My DET is fine, just looked like a good deal for an extra. I havent got a reply from the guy yet though. But good, I figured they were the same or at least close enough. bounce.gif
