Avg Time For A Stock 87 Se?
are u talking abput the quater mile run or a 0-60 run?
1/4, 0-60.. Either way it should be about the same, lol..
Im looking for 1/4 times though..
i have an 87 SE auto and its really slow i would like to know to any1 das any ideas???
I was curious as mine ran a 16.41 @ 82mph.. Shitty 60ft though..
Odometer stopped @ 242k, needs an oil change, and needs new rear subframe bushings..
GusI was curious as mine ran a 16.41 @ 82mph.. Shitty 60ft though..Yeah you need to get the oil changed because I let mine to run on bad oil and now I have a bad head and its making a horrible noise=/ so get that done

i ran a 16.2 w/ a sweet 60' time, and a good et too. i had a busted valve spring. im positive it could hit mid to high 15's.
0 to 60 was in the ballpark of 7 seconds.
My 0-60 was in the ballpark of 10 seconds.. I trapped 66 in the 1/8th and ran a 10.4 in the 1/8th..
...my long sold 87 SE/auto, with the usual n/a upgrades, ran 0-60 in 8.2 sec....200,000 plus miles.
serious?? thats pretty fast..
taktics702serious?? thats pretty fast..
fast? Aint anything talked about in this thread 'fast'... slow is the more appropriate word..
According to Car and Driver the official 87 SE 1/4 mile time was 16.5 @ 84mph.

-what gus said
and i couldnt ever get past a high 7 second 0-60 due to traction issues. i either had to dog it out all the way thru 1st or i would spin thru 1st and most of 2nd. never tried drag slicks tho
GusMy 0-60 was in the ballpark of 10 seconds.. I trapped 66 in the 1/8th and ran a 10.4 in the 1/8th..
i had a 9.92 on the 1/8 on 14 inch wheels and a sohc ka.... around 70 mph
here was mine for my '88 SE
i searched thru and found my times..apparently i never scanned the piece of paper..thought i did..
anyhow, before i said 16.2 i was wrong.
Reaction - .5170
60' - 2.408
1/4 mile - 16.54 @ 83.84 MPH.
Im positive i ran a better 60' in there somewhere, but the slips are BURIED in a box, within a box (moved three times since hitin the strip..)
here's a video i found..my car..
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...videoid=1726893
that video pisses me off b/c the idiot in the left lane took off WAY before the light, so it looked like had a bad launch.
and yes..there was a guy in it (the blue pos) with him. vid description says i ran a 16.29, so maybe i did run..
My 86xe 5spd ran consistent 18.1s in highschool.

Except.... that's an XE which has the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, and we're talking about the SE with the 3.0L V6 in it
Now we have had Se and 2.0, anyone know the realistic numbers on a ca18et both 1/4 miles and 0-60?
According to the car and driver article I posted earlier the turbo and the SE run the same 16.5 in the 1/4 mile.

I know i figured i would just throw it in there for shits and giggles. Just so everyone with an SE could feel a little faster lol
RedneckAccording to the car and driver article I posted earlier the turbo and the SE run the same 16.5 in the 1/4 mile.I think I read somewhere that the turbo did 0-60 in 7.9, but that has the be the 135hp version.

I doubt thats the 135 hp version..
Gus on 02:51:24 AM / 21-Jun-091/4, 0-60.. Either way it should be about the same, lol..
