hi i have the s13 suspension conversion on the front and now my front wheels are sticking out of the fenders and that is not legal in my country

does anybody knows which fender flares fits the best on the silvia s12 hatch?

thanks

greetings, chris

Havent installed these myself, but from what I understand you want to go with the zg flares from an early 70s Z.

Something like this---http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/7BSA02/50-1562

In Holland, is it illegal for the whhels to stick out from the fenders? or the tires?  Cause I know in the UK, it was illegal for the tires to extend past the fenders, so a lot of people stretched their tires so as to stay legal.

+1 for the ZG flares

Add negative camber til the top of the tire is under the fender enough

MaxpowFeb 9, 2010, 10:26 pm · #6

+more on the ZG flares, they are a nice addition to my car.

Yours look so much better.

But they're great when you need to fit much bigger tires on and don't want shit rubbing.

XanoFeb 10, 2010, 9:59 am · #13

I'd like to see a set fiberglass molded to the SE kit front and rear little bits.

Thats part of the only thing I've never liked, is how it just seems a bit off where it meets up with the SE kit bits.

got any close-up pictures of that area, maybe its just how i see it in a picture thats throwing me off about it.

ArroFeb 10, 2010, 5:40 pm · #14

Yeah Ju's car has some wide fuckin' tires, so it looks great

JordanFeb 11, 2010, 1:56 am · #15

I dig. I have to get me some of these...

How much of the fender is usually removed to make room for the tires?
How tough were they to install?

ArroFeb 11, 2010, 6:03 am · #16

They um, just rivet on (I think pop-style?). How much cut-out you need will be a matter of choice of wheel/tire fitment.

What size wheel/tire combo are you planning to run? Better know offset along with size of wheel and tire specs

MaxpowFeb 11, 2010, 10:11 am · #17

I cut about an inch and a quarter off of the fenders, fit 215/40's up front and 245/45 in the back. They rub on some of the bigger bumps in the back, but they fit pretty good. I want to get it lower though.

thank you very much guys

XanoFeb 12, 2010, 4:13 am · #19

no one can take a quick close up of where it meets the SE kit?

zastabaFeb 12, 2010, 5:14 am · #20

Does anyone know how much wider this makes things? Like say you just had the complete stock set-up - and you put these flares on - what would be the difference in tire size? - or what size of spacers would you need to make things flush again?
DjayS12Feb 13, 2010, 1:46 pm · #21

+1^

The front don't look much wider too me. I would like to get some 15X8 0 offset maybe this summer or next year and I was thinking about buying those!

But I think the 15X8 0et would be still far inside in the rear, if i guess by the pictures the 2 of you posted!

Ju_s12_turbo what is that wheel n tire size?

If you wanted to run flush with lots of tire, fuck. A lot lol. I mean my parts se fits my 265's with out flares. and it looks sunken in on my car .

I think the widest you could run would be like a 285-305

Not sure of the offset but It is for sure in the negative probably around -15-25 it is also a 15x8
xRANNERZxFeb 14, 2010, 12:43 pm · #23

Im running 15x8 -1 with 195/50 all round.
Front sits out 3.5 inches with S13 coilovers.
Rears stick out 1 inch.
No spacers

sideways_s12Sep 4, 2010, 5:22 pm · #28

meh it just takes time and patience...

fyneyoungstunnaSep 9, 2010, 5:03 pm · #29

yeah this is gonna be an experience for me when i do it.
but i hear lots of prep and sanding and take my time.

there is a green also on the dodge egg shapped minivans.
i saw it today and it caught my attention, it was all cleaned up and the black accents were shinney.

im still stuck on the skyline green though, or the grey on that mazda.

kroon1caSep 9, 2010, 5:52 pm · #30

This color combo would look great:

fyneyoungstunnaSep 9, 2010, 6:37 pm · #32

on my crappy pc the pearl doesnt look all that bad. I do know that that color in matte looks good as well. with matte black accent.
but i bet that color is expensive.
