So I got a someone to take out the bearings, but wasn't there when it was done. And of course forgot to ask him. What I'm having trouble with now is the bearing spacer.
Now that was intalled somewhere between the other bearings, but the FSM says it shouldn't have been there?!?!
So which spot it belongs in?

Rear Wheel Bearings
According to the picture, it goes between the outer bearing and the axle shaft. In fact it's clearly labelled as the bearing spacer in the fsm exploded diagram!?! You been working too late or something lol?

Yeah he's saying it was installed between the bearings instead of between the bearing and the axle shaft. So now he's wondering if it was right to be like that and the FSM is wrong... or it was wrong to go like that and the FSM is right.
I put my trust in the FSM personally.
I don't see what the problem is... The bearing spacer goes between the outer bearing and axle shaft, just like the FSM shows.
It seems that working in the middle of the night makes you have weird ideas.
Well, I hope you guys are right about this one. I guess I'll have to take bearings out of the old one too to know for sure.
If i remember correctly, It'll only go one way.
I think the axle is curved or filleted(if that's the right word), and the bearings inner race is flush. If you try to put it together without the spacer, the axle won't seat just quite right and when you try to put the brakes on, it's a no go.
Don't hold me to that, it's been a few years, I have crap for memory, and I think about a hundred different projects like that.
