Driveshaft Options Over Time

I know the two options as far as driveshafts go. There's the hybrid s12/s13 and the custom route. I'm not sure which to do as I have the hybrid one now but nothing to hold my carrier bearing. I either need a custom carrier bearing mount or a custom driveshaft. So here's my question: which route did everyone take and how has it been holding up since you first did your swap? Thanks guys!

why don't you have anything to hold your carrier bearing?  the bracket from the S12 should go around the S13's carrier bearing and it should fit snug up to the floor.  Waylon has been running a custom made 1pc for some time, drifting and all, and I don't think he's had any issues.  Some of the Aussies relate issues of blown seals on the transmission, but as long as there is some extra length in the yoke for movement (should be ok if you measure it how the driveshaft builder tells you to) it should be fine, esp if you're IRS.  Not all aftermarket driveshafts are created equal, so shop around and get one with a good rep behind it.

This...

The stock carrier bearing enclosure works perfect for the hybrid. No issues to date

Yeah well I tossed my original one about 6 months ago. I wasn't prepared and didn't know all that I was getting myself into. Tossed it and my speed sensor which I still don't have
But I just had a bracket made and all is well. Or it was while it was still driving. It's in the middle of getting a turbo now. We'll see how it holds up with turbo power haha
