S12 - 200sx

Finally picked it up today, from someone who owned it since they bought it, it's a lil rusty but a little TLC, and an engine swap I'll turn it into a nice drifter project here in central oregon.

s12 84 200sx, CA20E 5spd. Was shifting good, but I'm afraid I stripped the timing belt, stomping on it as soon as I got it, and I couldn't help it =( I miss having a 5spd.

So this week I gotta replace the timing belt and learn how to do the timing on it so I can get it rolling again.

David B mobile re-incarnate before demise! I want SRA. Sweet buggy, congrats on being the second owner as well!!! That's pretty rare amidst our rag-tag bunch.

Finally got the timing belt, it was shredded when I removed the timing belt cover and learned how to remove the pulley for the cam shaft.

Next I'm going to fix the plugs and re-align the dizzy. And with luck i didn't damage the valves since i never heard any metal on metal when the belt went out.

Hopefully the ca20 will turn over ok. If it doesn't all the more reason to hasten the ka swap yes.

wehoo we got the same s12! mines just all fucked up and beat on sra ftw!
