A buddy of mine stripped out my crank trying to put my flywheel on, so now I need to find a tap to re-thread it. but I cant figure out the size tap I need to get it fix.

Anybody know??

what part are you talking about? the flywheel holes? use one of the bolts to find out the thread pattern

holy shit how did you pull that off?

flywheel bolts are 12x 1.25

the crank pulley bolt is huge. i doubt you can find a tap that big. and if you do, its probably more expensive than a new motor

from what I've read it supposed to be a uncommon size that you really cant just go to a auto parts place and match up.
But, I never found info that actually tells me the thread pitch.

i'm talking about where the flywheel bolts attach. not the crankshaft snout lol.

really 12x1.25? I just dont see that working since I have a 11x1.25 tap and its too big to even fit.
