Okay,, so i got my t25g rebuilt, and its still smoking.. So instead of rebuilding it again,  im buying a whole new turbo..

Its a t28, but i wanna find out some more info about it..

I googled, but no good results..

any ideas?

WL 5002J 14411-69F00 466541-3001

Would it be the same exhause flange? Both for downpipe, and for manifold, as the t25g? Are the oil lines the same fitting?

69f00 is an S14 part number, so... Likely an S14 T28.

The O2 elbow and downpipe should be fine, as well as the manifold. I recall that the oil drain and feed are different, as are the compressor inlet and discharge, but I could be wrong.

hmm. i think its a BB turbo, isnt it?

I think im going to pass on the turbo... (it was on craigslist)
Damn.. Oh well.

Thanks for your help Smiley

Donno, I can never remember which ones are BB or not. cheesy

sideways_s12Nov 6, 2010, 5:19 pm · #5

anything with r after it is bb ex. gt28r is bb....

Navy_Mech2Nov 6, 2010, 6:39 pm · #6

yea but im pretty sure the s14s were still a journal bearing...they werent ball bearing till the 15. Just buy a hx35 and be done with it.

sideways_s12Nov 6, 2010, 6:43 pm · #7

you are right navy_mech but matt said he didn't know how to tell the which are jb or bb

Navy_Mech2Nov 6, 2010, 6:45 pm · #8

yea i know...i was just throwing in my .02

gerrybgNov 6, 2010, 11:17 pm · #9

Most s14's were journal, but the last series of them had bb turbos

xxstreetbikesxxNov 7, 2010, 12:34 am · #10

If the oil feed line is different, ill just buy a different t25g..

Cuz i spent about $75 for my custom oil feed line.. it would be a waste.

seishukuNov 7, 2010, 1:10 am · #11

Actually, since it's a Nissan T28, it's probably the same fittings for the oil inlet, and most likely has the oil drain flange.
It would probably bolt right in place of the T25.

xxstreetbikesxxNov 7, 2010, 1:13 am · #12

hm.. that would be great.
Guy just stopped answering my messages.. might of sold it?

If not, im going to check it out..  Im curious if its the same fittings for oil lines and water lines..

That would be great haha.

sideways_s12Nov 8, 2010, 12:21 am · #13

I believe water lines are bigger i.e. banjo bolt

xxstreetbikesxxNov 8, 2010, 12:42 am · #14

hmm. im trying to decide.. buy a t25g, that does not need to be rebuilt for $75.. or a t28 that needs to be rebuilt for $45.. and rebuild it myself ($50)..

Somehow rebuilding it myself, sounds like a bad idea.. idk y. lol
Not sure..

sideways_s12Nov 8, 2010, 4:22 am · #15

Id go with the t28 but that's just because its bigger than the t25g I have a bb t28 that I want to use but need an oil restrictor

xxstreetbikesxxNov 8, 2010, 11:59 am · #16

ohh.. Rub it in.. lol

I would like a t28, but i dont have enough cash to rebuild it by iggy..

The t25g can push 10psi no problem.. idk, i might just stick with that for now.

sideways_s12Nov 10, 2010, 2:11 am · #17

t25g can push 12 no problem iggy did it on his for awhile

seishukuNov 10, 2010, 4:41 am · #18

I run 12 daily on my T25g, I might as well run a bar (14PSI). cheesy
It's showing the wear though, the bearing are far more worn than they were when I first bought the turbo. It's been in need of a rebuild for some time now.

sideways_s12Nov 10, 2010, 11:26 pm · #19

time to send it to iggy lol

seishukuNov 11, 2010, 12:22 am · #20

No, time to get a T28 or small 16G!

xxstreetbikesxxNov 11, 2010, 1:05 pm · #21

lol. make sure instead of just throwing the t25g on the shelf, you send it over my way lol

seishukuNov 11, 2010, 9:46 pm · #22

lol I might, it depends though, if I get a T28, I'll probably keep the T25 around as a backup, but if I go with a whole new manifold and not use adapters, I'll probably just chuck the whole thing out.

seishukuNov 12, 2010, 3:33 am · #24

Nah, that was a DSM T25 (smallest T25)
