deletion of coolant going into the intake manifold

questions here

i want to junk my iacv, and also the coolant lines along the side of the block

why?

less b/s to leak
wont have to worry about servicing it
cleaner looking

i was going to fab a block off plate, and remove the iacv.. removing the iacv, other then some shitty cold starts, does it really matter? will this affect fuel delivery?

i have no heater core, and my turbo coolant return line goes right into the side of the upper coolant elbow
the coolant line that runs through the throttle body or whatever, is this also, a vital part?

i wanted to make a up a simple plumbing diagram, that bypasses all that b/s under the intake manifold,

i notice, theres like 2 1/2 size lines coming from the block, one is off the block, and the other comes from the lower elbow housing

could i just T those two together? and run them right into the coolant temp sen housing? which bolts to the head

by the way, wtf are those lines made from? what type of metal? could i weld on it with ghetto fluxcore awesomeness?

ill post some pictures later

ive searched and searched, but all i find are these answers.. "why?" "blahblahblah what a waste of time"

and i dont really want those answers, if you have no real input, please dont respond

Yeah I just made custom block off plates out of some thin metal, then bolted them in where the gaskets would go. I haven't really got to test it out though because my shit wont start.

Less BS sure, but there really isn't any servicing it unless replacing it if it breaks.

Go for it. I don't have one on my KA, cold starting just *Sometimes* involves Ether, but it get's muuuch colder up here than VA. It won't give you any extra HP, but the simplicity for a track car will far outweigh having it there.

Well, Yes and no. It's there to prevent vapor lock. I have the TB coolant lines on all of my cars bypassed, never had vapor lock, and never had moisture freezing inside of my intake. And my probe has phenolic spacers too, so I would say it's supposed to be important. But hasn't affected myself at all. No real performance gain. But the lack of hoses to crack and break makes me feel fine about it.

I like simplicity. Makes stuff easier to diagnose

No idea. What are they for originally? If they're for the heater core, I don't see why not. But this would require some more info

Looks like brass... Can't really weld on brass with flux core. That will involve TIG or brazing
