ka24e help, wont idle

i go to start the 240, singlecam, it starts, only under throttle, reves up to like 3-4 k for a second or 2, then drops down and cuts off, i can drive the car, low gears high rpms, any sort of idleing will turn it right off

reminds me of when my maf was bad once, but on a lower scale rpm wise

cruising around the car will jerk some if im under 2-3k

seems like a MASSSIVE vac leak, i dunno

once warmed up, still same issue

changed the MAF, and swapped ecus, checked fuses, looked for air leaks,
im mind boggled

would A BAD tps cut the car off?
what would a bad dizzy do?

id say vac leaks.

did u pull codes from the ecu?

is the idle valve  working?

bad water temp sensor? full rich?

plugs are black
ive searched EVERYWHERE for a possible vac leak

now ive got a constant misfire, but i noticed 2 injecters were broken while i pulled the rail out and i replaced the injecters with some other ones, most likley ones just  clogged

water temp sensor could cut the car off you think?

a bad water temp will mess with the mixture ratio, which could go full rich. flooding cyls with fuel and running like shit unless ur mashing the throttle.

are you sure ur getting spark?

black plugs is unburnt fuel or lotsa oil blowby.

air temp sensor is useless basically.

is your timing where it should be? 15btdc

a bad dizzy n the car wouldnt start.

a  bad tps would have symptoms like ur explaining. u need a  voltmeter to test it.

hmm, had a friend come to hold the throttle, cylinder 3 area, when sprayed with brake cleaner on the intake manifold keeps it running. im swapping intake manifold gaskets tomorrow

yeah sounded like vac leak from ur description. other places to check would be the base of the injectors to manifold theres those rubber seals, they tend to crack n leak. mine were. intake mani gaskets get brittle over time and get sucked into the engine. u got ur pcv hose there going thru cyl 2-3, which cracks aswell. id say injector or mani gasket thou. u work at lexus right? do you guys have a smoke machine u could borrow? that would find it pretty quick.

I'm having pretty much the same issue with my KA S12 (the one I been posting pics on MA240). Holds idle until you drive it which it stutters at like a consistent throttle position. And it will shut off when I come to a stop, unless I keep revving it. Also backfires, blows black smoke, and smells horribly like gas. I cant figure out what's causing it, idk if it's a wiring issue or somethin else.

is the egr deleted?  and did you use everything for the kae most ppl forget about the blck canister around the the 240 drivers strut tower. thats if you didn't delete the egr system
