After i put the new motor and EFI tank in the s12, my fuel gauge hasnt been working.
I have power going to the dash and i have tried shorting the wires at the sender to earth (which should bring the gauge to full)
So im guessing the problem is in the gauge. Does anyone know how to check the gauge itself?..
LOL I used 9v battery and look for movement on needle. Do not know if that's safe or not. Just my ghetto testing

ya, but not sure if it was because i disconnected it from the power to a different power or what.

ya, i did it to the harness behind the dash.
just back probing the terminals?
ya, the fuel gauge one- cant remember the color. brown with black stripe or something like that.
