I don't thin the ct26 is the same flange How much boost are you trying to run I think the equivalent to the ct26 is a t28 good to 18 psi iirc

^ that.
The CT26 isn't the same flange, but it's nothing some simple cutting and welding couldn't get past.
I say go for it.

the CT26 is a stock turbo from a supra, celica gt4, and some MR2s.

yeah you could always mod it but if it's the equivalent to a t28 why bother just sell the ct26 and buy a t28 problem solved....

Aren't CT26s ball bearing though?

The stock t25 from the ca should be best used as a paper weight. It is nowhere near as strong ans a ct26... price wise if you have a stock ca look for a t25 from a red top. If you want more power you can go t28. But, in my opinion T28's are very overpriced at the moment and your best bet being in the US is to get a t3/t4 conversion manifold and get a t3/ t4 turbo. There are quite a few US cars with t3's as well as tons of aftermarket support. T3's come in a wide range of ar rating's o you can build you project as needed. I am personally thinking of going with an 84 trim t3 vs a gt30 for my built CA. Want 450 hp or more out of my setup and the price for large t3's is way better than the gt30.

Exactly. T28s are over priced and he already has a CT26 so might as well have someone weld the correct flange on his stock mani or an eBay one and bolt up the turbo he already has.

so are t28's
I_heart_VVLFeb 6, 2012, 9:07 pm · #13

but only the S15 ones, which tend to cost quite some coin.

your gonna need a custom exhaust manifold for a ct26 it will need to be moved forward for the elbow & downpipe to clear. Tried to top mount a ct26 on my s13 and the elbow was too close to my master for comfort...... Also not all t28's are bb s14 t28's are not bb.
