OK I'm looking into swapping my a KA into my 80 corolla. Seems a couple of people have done this. One used a d-21 truck transmission and set the engine back in the bay almost on top of the firewall. I think I might need to use the d-21 trans. Are all the gear ratios the same on the "C" transmissions?  Does anybody know the length of the d-21 trans? I found some ebay mounts and they sit a little forward from this build http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=93105&page=1.

Ok I was able to find out that the d21 trans does have a different gear set but just for 5th. The transmission gear ratios is very close to the stock t50 trans. I should be getting better rpms in fifth with the 3.73 gears in the diff. The next thing to do is the "white bunny" mod. It is cheaper to run the truck flywheel then to get a 240 flywheel. I should of got the d21 dust shield but I thought I would not need it. If I run the auto ecu will it not cut the fuel in fifth? For the wiring I plan on picking up a Can am box or making my own:
