First post, long time reader (have 2 s13's, 280zx, s12)

OK this is a doisy. My brother bought this car, and one day starting messing with the injectors and wiring and boom, car doesnt start. The car worked perfectly before he put is hands on it   :wtf:
When you get in you turn the key and the car cranks but doesnt turn on.
So we sprayed started fluid and the car DOES start, but when the fluid is out the car stops.

We changed the gas pump and checked the line and checked the pressure and everything is fine.
We checked the rail and replaced the fuel injectors.
re-wired all the lines, and they are fine
We replaced the distrubitors with new ones along with new lines and spark plugs.
We checked the fuses
New battery and alternator

So far all the mechanics have said take it to the shop so they can check the wiring but i want to see what you guys think can be the problem.O ne mechanic looked at the car and
showed me that the gas pump is running non-stop, and said that the gas pump puts fuel in when you turn the key then STOPS, and i saw that it running constantly.

So what do you guys think?

Have you checked to see that the injectors have power?

What jay said. You can get(rent) a "noid light" test at autozone for like $15 deposit(fully refunded when you bring it back). It got little lights in there that you plug into the injector connections and when you crank the car, you can see when/if they are getting power.

Super easy to test and costs practically nothing.

what year car?  Do you know what he did while messing with the injectors?

Sounds like an ECU issue. Take a look around on the site, there are shop manuals avgail for download. You can check ECU issues via lights on the ECU itself, codes are in the manuals.

He was trying to put s13 ka24e injectors on his car from my other s13 i have, (iono y till this day, and he doesnt want to say ). The wires were mixed with different colors (iono what the previously owner did there), but the car ran fan. He has an 86

But heres an update.
I rented the noid lights from autozone, ($27 rental  :glarestraight:), and followed the intructions. None of the injectors lighted up. I replugs the wires and sprayed started fluid and the car started and ran till the fluid ran out. i tried the different ones and nothing. Switched the lights and nothing. I tried the lights on my s13 and they worked.

ill check the ecu codes asap and hopefully ill see what wrong.

Well, that at least tells you what is wrong. No power at injectors means ECU or bad injector wiring. Let us know how it turns out.

Most likely bad wiring if he was fucking with the wiring and now it doesn't work then I don't believe the ecu is bad open up the loom to see where the bad connection is...

Hey now!  Some black people are very good with wiring!

Check the grounds on top of the intake, I believe there are two, One is for your dash and I think the other is for your injectors, If they are clean and well, Check the wires in the injector loom as sideways said

when you checked the injector power did you have them all disconnected or did you try one at a time. the reason i ask is if a injector is shorted out it will shut down the system. i chased a 280zx for weeks trying to find out why i wasnt getting power to them and it came to be i had two shorted out and once i replaced them it ran fine
