Turbo gauges working for a non turbo ca20e?

Hi my 200sx was a turbo version, the guy i bought it from swapped the ca18et for a ca20e(there was an engine fire and he had a clean ca20e sitting there).  Now the wiring plugs into the turbo gauges, but only the back light turns on.  The actual gauges don't function, is there a way to fix this, or will i need to just get the ca20e gauges?  Thank you!

well i have the ca20e harness on the car, it plugs into the gauges, but all i get is turn signals, and the dash lights up, other than that, it doesnt work.

No tach or speedometer?  the speedometer is cable driven and should show your speed as long as the cable is good!  As for the lighting, is the dimmer switch plugged in?  gauge lights won't work without it.

As for the tach, the signal from the ignitor's should be the same on a ca20 as they are on the ca18..

Ill have to check, i just bought the car last week.  It was a 85 200sx turbo, but the guy did a motor swap from the 1.8 to the 2.0 non turbo.  He installed an aftermarket temp/rpm guages.  Ill pop out the gauge and see whats actual plugged in back there.  But i know its getting power, but nothing works, not the heat/rpms/speedo or the gas gauge =/

oh, the tranny was swaped out with the ca20e tranny(not sure if there the same) that could be a reason too if the plug is different!

Assuming these are analog (needle) gauges, not digital??

i have the digital dash gauges that arnt working with my ca20e

So - if your harness is set up for analog, I don't think digi dash will work. Also different speedo cable set ups

Is there a way to convert my analog plugs to the digi dash?

Don't think so, my guess is it's more a function of the ecu - hopefully someone else will speak up. I have seen this problem discussed before. Wonder if it would be easier to swap in an analog cluster?
