tranny question..

ive looked arround but its all mixed up and not clear.

Question:
Will an s13 tranny fit on a ca20e?
i wana do a 5 speed swap but theres no s12 anywhere arround.
i wanna wait on the ka swap because the motor is rebuilt,ya knoww?

be sure that ur s12 is not a permanent auto first. its rare but weve seen it. second, u need s13 tranny with s12 bellhousing. and then cut the shifter hole in the body a little towards the driver. and mount with "c" trans s12 mount and cross-member.

in short yes with work.

ummmm wat.

but just like he said you need an S12 bellhousing to go with the KA trans, the front half of the S13 driveshaft, and you need to hack up your stock crossmember to fit the S13 trans.

i read it on another s13 transmission thread on clubs12, some autos came with a unique frame/chassis so to convert to 5 speed ud have to cut and custom fab. but they are very rare to see

You can just make a custom trans mount out of scrap metal and use an aftermarket bushing on it if that's the case.
Not a big deal at all.

The s12 is weird when it comes to auto-manual differences. There is no mixture of parts to COMPLETELY bolt in a 240 trans.

Is there any other car that has the bell housing i need? I cant find anythingg.
