Socal - Vegas Semi Annual Meet

So since the 12/12/12 meet went semi decent for being last minute, I was thinking we should do a semi annual vegas socal meet. I wanted to do the first meet in April in Vegas, then at that meet we can make the date for the next meet in socal April should get alot of people that are not done with their cars a time frame to get them running right and good enough to make the trip to vegas. I am trying to get as many s12's to show as possible. But I need to see if anyone would be interested first, and see how many people can get on board.

I would be hella down man, just need to know a while in advance so i can save up for gas and whatnot

that's why I'm telling you now! start saving lol I'll hash out a date after the holidays that way we can kinda get peoples off days and go from there...

socal peeps dont meet up anymore really, rarely even communicate. i tried organizing a meet but no response sadly

Lame well reach out to whoever you can it may start off small but if everything goes right it will eventually get bigger i think (on this site anyway) we are a pretty close community but its sorta clickish just because of where everyone is located and how spread out we are but maybe we can eventually turn this into a country wide get together like the supra meet...obviously thats way down the road and thats even if it becomes successful enough but i figured id start with socal and vegas since they are closest in proximity....

Not sure yet just trying to get enough interest going see how many are down to do this we got 5 votes so far i know the vegas guys are down we just need to get the so cal guys on board and then we can plan times and cruises and stuff....

Well they also have meets with the Fuku truck wednesday nights we could also invade.

True we could invade that meet that would be pretty cool..... On a seperate note i wonder who said no on the poll.....

I'm down for a meet, but maybe when y'all come a little father east. Vegas is an 18hr drive for this guy

I posted on facebook the socal page and the cs12 page also the poll is up for 30 days so plenty of people will see it. Although 70 people have seen and 7 votes lol hopefully we can get it popular....

san antonio to vegas 1282 miles 18hour 14 min. and $385 round trip in gas.... sounds like fun be hard to pull off  :sniffles:
yeah and who would vote no? id love an epic s12 meet. and crashing some other meets thats makes it more great

Im way down. I woulda been at your place on the 12th but my son had a thing at his school that night. Anyway as soon as I replace my headstuds or get a thicker head gasket ill be up and runnen but right now the nuts to my arp head studs are tightening down on the coller of the stud. its a realpreal pain but I'll be ready soon.

Next wednesday, let me know where and what. I am planning jan5th if anyone wants to meet up at my place I'm going to remove the bent steering rack and install the one I ordered that day.  Going to order pizza for lunch and stuff.  I am going to get ready for jan 27th Vegas Drift Practice run.

My car will be running by then I know Jeremy A's car will be running and Garys Waylon is in the process now of getting his up and going and Jimmy (Vegass12) his should be up by then as well. What about you cali guys that voted Yes where your rides at? Hows it going?

I really really want to go to this meet as I am also in Vegas with an S12 but its non running.  I will make it a priority of mine to get mine running by april even if it looks like sh*t.  I really want to meet the local s12's here and  quite frankly getting tired of driving my honda!  XD

Why is it not running? hit us up if you need any help.

About 2 years ago I notice I was losing acceleration. RPMS would be going up but I would be moving slow and sometimes it would just stall.    Had my clutch replaced under warranty.  Problem still there.  Got a new catalytic converter, problem still there but had a slight increase of acceleration.  Had Nissan check it out and said my engine was just dying out. Didn't believe it because they were trying to get me to buy another car so I Bought a new fuel pump and was on my way to the Mexican shop I go to to get it installed when I heard a loud CLINK/BANG noise from the engine. Pulled over and couldn't get it to start again, sounded like it was trying to fire but no start.  Towed it to the Mexican shop I go to and he looks at it a little, says its not my fuel pump but looks like the timing belt snapped.  (only able to peek through the timing belt cover).  With the timing belt snapping it probably bent the valves.  One day a long time ago Waylon came over to check it out and he peeked through the timing belt cover and saw the belt but wasn't moving when trying to fire her up. 

Right now I'm just saving for a full engine rebuild.  Personally I want to get it fully rebuilt so I know I have a good engine that will last me awhile and so i can keep the original engine.  Honestly my knowledge of working on cars is limited to doing my own oil change.  So i'm just saving for a shop to do it for me. 

Sorry on the long post.  but yeah back to the topic. would love to meet you all once I can get my s12 running.  And yes if you would like to check her out shes parked in my garage. I live by Unlv.

Ah, yeah needs a rebuild for sure =(
North lv yard had a 300zx vg30 for sale easily able to swap everything over on. But it's a bit on the expensive side.

lol well the first meet will be here in vegas I was thinking if all the cali members that were going rolled together we could meet them at the stateline and roll back to vegas as a group maybe hit up redrock on a cruise and take some pics then from there grab a bite to eat then cruise the strip in the cars and take some more pics then maybe a bbq at my place the next day....

That sounds like fun there.

I need to figure out how to change the poll or add one But what's everyones opinions on a the month is in april so lets throw some dates or days out there..... I have vacation time so any day in april works for me as long as I put it in advance I'm good... So really it's up you guys....
