So since I was doing a rebuild on my ca18et I decided I wanted to get ARP head Studs since this is also the second time I have taken the head off in recent years and rather than spend with my discount about $50 for a set of stock bolts I contacted ARP and gave them all the information from my block and head so they could ind studs they have that would work. This is what they came up with for me, they actually have a set from the Nissan a14 engine that matches the measurements that I gave them. I just ordered them today and when I go to finish my rebuild ( still waiting on forged rods and pistons ) I will confirm that they fit. The one note he said was that the single long bolt might have to be not all the way seated in the hole as they want the top of the stud to be level or above the nut top, and he said I might have to back it out a thread or two which he said was still more than double bolt thickness which in a cast iron block is just fine for aluminum it wouldn't be, so I am fine. Again I will confirm exact fitment when I get my rods and pistons and start the assembly process. the ARP part number for the a14 head stud kit is 202-4203 and they did have some in stock. I hope this helps others with the ca18et.
ARP Head Studs
Some years ago when i did my rebuild, ARP faxed me a form to measure all the OEM head bolts and fill out the form and fax back to them. It all worked out well other than the long bolt. Somehow, that took two tries. But when all was said and done, it went together like a dream. I was just out driving this evening, happy with the results of my efforts. My S-12 has paid for itself over and over and is a pleasure (most of the time...) to drive as my DD.
Jeremy please keep me posted on this fitment of the studs Ive wanted arps for awhile for my ca and this will prove interesting if it works out....
will do sideways, i am currently waiting on my rods and pistons and to finish putting together the fully rebuilt head and then its going together. i hope i can afford a bigger turbo as well but finances are tight right now.
Depending on your manifold look at dsm turbos they are decently priced and flow really well....
yeah stock exh mani so far one day i'll make my own rams horn style. one day haha. i do want one that works with my stock mani and my custom downpipe so kind of looking at gt28rs type of course funds need to be in order first. thanks though will keep it in mind
I also have a stock manifold that has a t3/t4 flange welded to it if your intereted in it I could sell it to you for the price of shipping. I have my bartco one so i'm never going to use the other one....
For sideways_s12 and any others that were interested in the info about the ARP head studs, I can confirm that they work and install correctly. the one thing is you have to put the one long one stud in then remove it one and a half turns so that the stud is above the top of the nut, as per the ARP rep I talked with when i purchased the studs. That is of course while using our original washers to properly spread the load. Hope that helps some people here.
fucking sweet can you pm me a part number?

Yes but i wanted it in my pm ago i don't have too search for it when the time comes... :)
