Hi,
As many of you know im building and swapping a SR20 into my S12 and looking at reaching past 500hp with it.
plain and simple the SR tranny sucks and will most likely not hold.

So I have purchased a Z32 Trans RS5R30A that I plan on swapping onto the SR with a twin disc and I have read online that the turbo Z31 trans FS5R30A is exactly the same thing internally.

I know Xcessive Manufacturing makes a adapter kit and its pretty simple (no machining needed on the vg housing with this kit).

Whats nice about this kit is that they have a shorten shifter bracket so it puts the shifter to the same location that the SR would be at.

Obviously the S13 driveshaft they offer and tranny bracket/mount will not work for our cars so we need to have one custom made.

So here's the question.

I know I will need a R200 rear driveshaft (since I will using a R200 longnose diff)
But for the front driveshaft must I use the front half of the Z32 driveshaft? Or will the front half of the Z31 driveshaft be able to work since everyone says that the two transmission are identical (internally)?

any other information on this swap would be greatly helpful since I am going this route.

Heres a question for you why not just go with a custon one piece that way you can use the yoke from a z and the rear for the r200 shouldn't cost more than 300 if you go with a standard drive shaft material if you go aluminum it'll obviously be more expensive but I mean that's the way I would go...

I am going one piece thats why im asking.
I rarely see any Z32's at the yard to pull the front half of the drive shaft.
