remove it. iirc a 1 inch pipe plug from home depot is what threads in

josh90Mar 22, 2013, 1:32 am · #3

ya i went to true value and picked a good plug in now she does 14 psi and scoots pretty good now lol

You're doing 14 psi with or without an intercooler? Anything above factory boost should probably have an intercooler.

Yeah it was late when i read this, sorry :P Is this on the stock T2?

josh90Mar 24, 2013, 3:15 pm · #7

lol its all good.... no i went with a godspeed ebay t28 it works its my daily

ArroMar 24, 2013, 5:33 pm · #8

10 PSI on that T28 is a bit much if you aren't retuning things. You've probably maxed out your stock injectors and are a bit lean. What is your fuel ratio at now?

Do you know if its BB (Ball bearing) or JB (Journal Bearing)?
josh90Mar 24, 2013, 8:40 pm · #10

Did you have to reclock it? the pics I've seen have the turbo clocked wrong...
josh90Mar 24, 2013, 8:55 pm · #12

ya on my 18et the comp housing was rotated to high i just had to move it down a little bit to clear the exhaust housing but it bolted right up

just know with the ebay turbos your getting what you paid for lol its kinda a hit or miss with some

sideways_s12Mar 24, 2013, 9:23 pm · #13

yeah I know that much was just curious on the godspeed one its decent priced so I wanted to try it but I wanted some feedback from someone whose used it lol its kinda perfect timing for you to post up that specific turbo...

josh90Mar 24, 2013, 9:32 pm · #14

sideways_s12Mar 24, 2013, 9:38 pm · #15

Are you referring to the rubber hoses that are tee off of the turbo outlet pipe that goes into the throttle body?  I was going to ask the same question because I am putting an fmic on my car in the next few days and was wondering the same thing.  What function does this item perform in the big scheme of things?

josh90Apr 9, 2013, 1:58 pm · #17

no im talking about the bronze looking bulb to the right of the throttle body
