Countdown, one month. Road trip.

Well guys. I know I haven't been on here that much recently. I've been having to deal with a lot of shit on my plate. A lot of you don't know that back in November on Thanksgiving weekend my life took a turn when my significant other of 5.5 years decided to leave me and with her went the dog. It was shortly after moving up here to go to Michigan tech. It was devastating, and to this day still is. Something about this girl has kept me holding on, and it's not healthy for me. I have no idea why in my head she's so special, but there's pretty much nothing that I can do at this point.

In January, my grandfather passed away. He was the only Biological grandparent I knew. This also was a blow. Kicking me when I'm down, living up here in isolation where I have no real friends, in this new house all alone. These past 5 months have been, by far, the worst I have ever endured.

So, I have not been happy. I have not had a good time. This is where my grey ponderingbrainmatterjuices have been flowing. I have 4 more weeks of this semester, and I'm out of this place. I have to move on from Aly, and live a life I want to lead. So, I'm taking this summer to really determine where I want to go in life. If I want to go out and get a job, Come back up here and finish my school. Etc. All I know is I'm single, not tied down. And every moment I spend up here right now is driving me insane. There are so many people to meet (Especially women), and I plan on doing EXACTLY that. (Alone, or with new found friends).

Early May, I will be heading out to Fort Collins CO. Helping my best friend and her husband move out there. After that, I'm pretty well open. I would absolutely LOVE to meet friends on here during my travels. So if you'd like to meet the legendary Jay, introduce me to more friends (especially beezies), Maybe let me crash on your couch. It would be such an awesome thing to do and I would be extremely grateful for everyone helping to make a hell of a trip for me.

I'm getting the car ready for this while finishing off my semester. It's going to look like garbage, but that's okay as it drives A-OK.  (And has A/C)

This route is NOT set in stone. I'm MORE than willing to travel much further out, even out to Cali if there's enough places to stay at and people to see. june 1st and aug 31st are VegasDrift ProAMs i'll be competing in. If you can make vegas on either of those days do it. really you'll need about a week for vegas considering all the s12 crew here and your other goals for the trip

In other ideas, do film the trip. It'll be an awesome collection of key awesomeness from CS12 and R3Vlimited, among others. For Dallas, there's a lot to do and many to meet. CS12 folk will be there and so will many mexicans. (Some of whom are CS12 folk) Also you should definitely stop by San Diego. Like half the site lives there. (Yes, I am calling Gus that fat)

Jay, been down that road myself. We in aviation refer to it as AIDs (Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome). Mine was eight years, It hurts for a while, and you gotta let it hurt. Don't jump into another relationship for some time so when you do it won't just be "on the rebound".  If you skip any grieving over a relationship, then the next will become a repeat. Learn from what happened, it's easy to blame everyone but the dude in the mirror. But as it has been said, there are 7 billion peeps out there, half of them wimmenz. There will be someone right for you after you rediscover what an awesome person you really are. Keep the faith, have a safe journey.

I extend my condolences for you grandfather... but I really don't know what to say about your SO leaving. I've always been a bit jaded about women, and for what it's worth, if she left the way she did, she didn't deserve you in the first place. I know that's a bit sketchy still, but life moves forward, and the best players of the game of life will always tell you the grass is indeed greener on the other side. And the fruit is also sweeter, too ;)

Honestly man, I've known you over the internet for a number of years now, and if you're not able to make it down south to SoCal, then maybe Alex can come up here and carpool with me up to Vegas. I'd love to meet ya, and Iggy and Jason are both good guys and a lot of fun to hang with. I haven't ever met the rest of the Vegas horde so it would be a good opportunity all around. My winter was pretty shitty too with the biggest highlights being my brother getting carjacked at gunpoint and having to put down my 14 year old cat which I'd had since a kitten. So if it makes you feel any better you weren't the only one that had a really shitty winter haha. Honestly I think it is healthy we have harder times in life as you can't really appreciate the good times if they are always good. Kinda like the rich kids we all despise because they usually don't appreciate how spoiled they are or have a clue what life is like in the real world. Just gotta try and keep your spirits up in the mean time and things will eventually get better. An epic road trip sounds like a good way to spend spring and help get your mind back to a better state.
