Ok, I'm in the process of setting up my s12 for a drift suspension. I have a shop, A-1 Racing Products, that is willing to develop some of the parts. This is the same company that makes the parts sold under the DGTrials name on their website.
www.dgtrials.com
These parts will be Drift proven and Tested. In fact the guy making them for me is one of the founders of DGTrials. He is currrently making custom Tie Rods that will allow me to install an aftermarket coilover S13 suspension on the front. He also mentioned that TC Rods will also be possible. I'm goin to Europe for 2 weeks at the end of June and I'm goin to leave the car with him so he can develop these parts and he's also said he can work up a custom rear Suspension setup.
I just want to get a feel for how many people would be interested in these parts because if there is a large demand or even small I'm sure theyd be willing to make more. He told me he was really excited about workin on the s12 cuz he has always liked them and he likes the fact that they are fairly uncommon. So we may have a possible Race Proven manufacturer along the way. I'll keep you guys updated but I do need some sort of a response about how many people would be interested in these, no matter if soon or later.
To give you an Idea of the quality of their work here are the TC Rods they sell for an S13.

Profesional Custom Suspension parts
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Jun 2004" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
if the price is right im sure a good amount of people will throw in for a set here and there when they get the $$.
If the price is reasonable i would be interested for sure.
If it will be bolt in stuff I'd like it. Also if it could be adjusted for different types of events, it would be great. I would buy a front and rear spring and shock setup along with sway bars. But only if I can bolt in this stuff!! If I have to weld and stuff forget it. Its hard enough as is getting performance parts. So let me know more details of the components that will be developed.
Please explain how a set of custom Tie Rods will allow you to use an S13 coilover setup in the front. The suspension designs between the S12 and S13 are completely different, and it's going to take A LOT more than custom tie rods to make that happen. I'm not knocking your efforts, I'd just like to understand how they are going to accomplish what it is they're telling you. That being said, I would definitely be interested in a set of tie rods and some rear suspension tweaking. Keep us informed and thank you for getting the ball rolling!
No, actually it does work. There's a how to on the old forum, actually 2; one to use aftermarket coilovers, and one to use S13 stock suspension.
It can be done fairly easiy. You need a complete macpherson from a 240, including the hub ... basically from shock tower to the rim. If you want to use the S13 factory set up, you have to notch the shock towers and enlarge them a bit to fit the big 240 springs. If you use an aftermarket coilover set up, the coilovers are a smaller diameter spring, so they fit in the stock towers.
To get it all to work, you need to make custom ends. I really hope this shop isn't going to charge you much. You could build them for about $10.
parts needed:
S13 coilovers including camber tops (not standard S13 struts as they are too large in diameter for the S12 strut towers unless you do the strut tower mod)
S13 axles and hubs
S13 tie-rod ends
S13 brake disks and calipers (or S14 or R32/33 skyline 4 pots)
S13 brake lines.
Basically, once you have made the tierod end adapters, everything bolts in as though Nissan always meant it to be there. The strut top bolt pattern is the same, and the bottom balljoint is the same.
Adapter thing

Used S13 stuff is starting to get cheap. All the scenester rice boys that have moved on are trying to recover their losses.
adjustable camber tops in the front would be pretty good to have.
Big thanks to Anthony (forgot your screen name man) for these pics, this is his car BTW, I haven't gotten off my ass to do this yet.
I'll go dig up the other page where the guy used stock S13 bits. It's still in the archives somewhere.
More pics from his install

Sweet! I learned something new today. So, will the S14 SE stuff work? I would want to stick with 5 bolt hubs.
Ok, the dood's name was too_much_boost
and here we go

I think I might have deleted the how to make those adapters though damnit.
I'll email him back and see if I can lure him over *lol*
Very good info. I'll stick with what I've got currently, as I've already put a lot of work into it, but I sure wish I would have read about this earlier!
All the parts developed shoud be bolt on however, the rear may need to have the original lower spring seat thing sheared off the same way bart did his, everything else will be bolt on though. As far as prices go they should be reasonable. We'll see how they turn out on my car and i'll update with prices.
That sounds great. But uhh, do we have to do anything like in those DIY S13 swaps? Well it sounds like some good stuff, and I may buy the stuff.
I just finished a sr swap in my s12 and am having problems laying the pawer down,I like your idea and am interested with the bolt on concept. Lets see how it turns out and we will go from there.
Well I'll be a monkey's uncle ... no need for custom, just use S13 steering arms, they screw right in.
