After 4 1/2 months of waiting and complaining to my distributors, it finally came in. An LSD for solid rear axle. It was orginally made for 1984 720 truck. After further research, the pinion sizes are the same 3.889. But the only problems that I face now is if they did send the rite one and how to install it myself. It\'s beautiful yet unfamiliar since I\'ve never seen an LSD before.

So my question to thoses that have installed ur LSD in ur rides is that do you have to pressure or torque something down as to what the service manual implies?

How long did it take?

Any special tools required?

I still have an auto will there be any difference?

First before I start on mine is that I\'m gonna go to yards and play with ones like mine to feel the difficult level and see. But it won\'t be till a month later that I actually install it in. Wish me good luck on this cuz then I\'ll be the first 200sx LSD solid axle in cali heck maybe in the US.

For some reason this is like freakin\' me out. It\'s like well what happens f it doesn\'t fit or something? ~sigh~ I\'ll know soon. The instructions didn\'t go too much in detail on tools. Can normal tools work?

Normal tools should work so long as you have a torque wrench, possibly a bearing puller, and possibly a bearing press.  Other than that I think it should be fairly straight forward...Cool

best thing to do is take the whole axle off and take it to a shop after you placed the lsd in so that they can get the proper gaps and clearences
