Hey Guys,

I was wondering if the exhaust manifold for the CA18DET would fit the head of the CA18ET cars as well. I see some nice pieces everynow and again that look like they would make a lot more power than the log type manifold that is standard equipment. Has anyone investigated this?

different type of manifold. CA18ET's look like 1 2 3 4
while the ca18det looks like 1 2 3 4 Nice an clean. Would be nice to have an aftermarket exhaust that looks it actually does its job. I bet i could squeeze out another 10+hp on a GOOD long manifold compated to our ca18et cast crappers. Most of ours chip and shoot crap into the turbo and mess stuff up. Not much to port either .... :( Sorry about the bad news on the ca18det manifold. Trust me...90% of us would have already bought a new manifold.

Extrude honing? Coating? Is there ANYTHING we can do? Maybe a custom exahust manifold isn't out of the question then? Anyone try that? That manifold looks awful.

Magnum is building one right now,

a few other guys, namely from our Norse detachment have made some tasty ones.

I'm making a crude box/log style one ... will still way outflow the stocker.

I wouldn't bother porting or wasting any money on the stock one, plus a custom one will allow you to flange it for ANY turbo you want.

true. If these are going to be produced for members here on the boards.....Hint Hint I will purchase one of these if th price is right. This is one of the only things I would buy right now and spend a block of cash. Other than my front bumper conversion.

You could just put the DOHC head on your block too, then you could use all the CA18DET manifolds you would like.
