When installing new coils what do you do with the third wire (I believe i'm right, secodary coil has three wires. most aftermarket coils have two terminals) for the secondary coil? If you just leave it unconnected does it make the secondary ignition not cutoff at 4000rpm? And last question, how much did the coils help out and what kid was used...

thanks for the input...

i'm not too shure what you mean by 3 wires? mine only have 2... but if you get a performance coil/ coils make shure that they are the kind that can be mounted on their side!! or renount them up and down because all the oil will leak out and short the coil!!! ( i bought my car with a bad coil because the guy i bought the car from was an idiot!!! :D )

The primary coil has three leads, and the secondary has two. The third lead is for the tach. unless you get an MSD coil or equivalent where there is a designated tach connection, you just atach the third lead to the positive side of the coil...8)
