gear changes..

thoughts...

If im gonna have a tranny to mess with why not..

use 1st & 2nd from the Ca18et..(better accel)
3,4,5 and R from the Vg, and get the 4.11 rear gears to accompany..
It\'ll pull like no other if i assume right. But my concern is top end..i wanna be able to hit 125mph..(doesnt have to be much higher!)

they\'re even shorter..ill find \'em in a few and edit..it would put us at like 20 mph...why not put in a 3.70 rear end?

Because without torque multiplication, these cars are pretty slow. Especially the turbo cars. Without the close ratio tranny, you\'ll be shifting out of boost.

I wouldn\'t even begin to know where you can find a R&P for the R200

I think 1st gear in the MKIIs is pretty close to 4:1

Finding ring and pinion sets for the R200 is easy. Just go to your local Nissan dealer and plunk down the cash. The Nissan Motorsports catalog has a ton of different ratios to offer.

A 3.70 rear end would not be beneficial to 4th and especially 5th. The car doesn\'t have enough power to really pull that gearing at speed.

understood..i have plans of 250HP..keyword is plans, nothing in taking now, just learning stuff..(oh, its 250 RWHP..300 or so at crank!)..but the more i read, the more 4.11\'s (4.111) seem to be too short..like they\'d hold me back..Im gonna research some more on rear-ends, i have an idea..(3SPD REAR END..its a LONG LONG way off..but it may be do-able..)

Which Lsd is a direct fit for a 1984 s12 ca18et and is there a how-to anywhere on fitting?

bro iv lookin 4 an lsd 4 half a year now and aint had much luck! mitsy starian fits in a treat, but 1st u gotta find 1! or nistek in maldon essex will build u 1 4 £600ish. jst weald it up, works fine 4 driftin/drag racing

if your willing to spend 600$, maybe you should just get the nismo LSD for 750$, doesnt get better then that

the UK Z31`s did not get LSD iv been told it was an option tho so there is a chance in finding one

haha, finally we got something you want...then yah the innerds from the S13 w/ the LSD would probably be your best option, or the LSD kit for the S13\'s without the LSD...
