Does anybody out there have or had the same problem i do? For some reason my car aint charging the damn battery!!! :wall: And its not the alternator because i just had it tested a week ago,and the battery is only a few days old(this is the 4th battery this month!) If anybody can please,PLEASE help me i would greatly appreciate it.
Ok!!...what The F*#$!!!!

check to see that your battery isnt getting drained someway.
1) Bad ground
2) Crossed Wires somewhere.
3) Aux item in car is draining power. i.e. cd-player, running lights, ect ect
Could be a number of things. Mine had the same problem and then I saw the battery had a huge hole in the side and was draining acid all over....how..Who knows and I dont wanna.

How do i check if somethings draning it? is there a certain tool?
start looking or unplugging. no real way to know until you start to get your hands dirty.
YES!!!! I have your SAME EXACT problem!!! I replaced my alternator too. Also re-wired some stuff because the 2 thick alternator wires (white) were eaten all the way through by something but covered up by the plastic loom... I fixed that and it worked. Until now. I now have a problem where the alternator regulator doesn't kick under an increased load. But it DOES put out about 15V... It just doesnt go into the battery. So, Under a big load the alternator is crap, but driving around, it is marginal. So I took the whole car to the shop where I bought the new alt and they did an on car test and it failed, but out of the car it passed... So I get a new one for free because it has a lifetime warantee! So hopefully that will work for me. i cant say the same for you. You might have to inspect all your wires that go from the alternator to the batt and repair them if neded. Its tedious but it might cure your problem. There are 2 wires you need to follow. One comes out of the back, the other is in a connector that plugs into the side. One is slightly smaller than the other, but they are both white. Rip apart the wiring loom if you have to in order to visually follow the wires. If you can see the copper wire inside them, repair that section. That worked for me, but now my alternator is shot again, I think its the facr that I'm using a much smaller battery that stock. So I will try some things. It will come in on the 27th, so I'll keep you informed!
Ok so unless i missed a wire or i have to follow one of the skinny wires off the alternator side plug all the way through? i rewired some of them and even put thicker guage wireing...(or mabey i wired somthing wrong?).......hmmm that wire from the back of the alternator, that one goes straight to the battery correct? My car has simillar symtoms but on mine its like the alternator aint charging it. after a few days my battery would die and i would have to charge it. i also have to unplugg the negative terminal when my car is turned off. if not my car battery would die within hrs.
To test for parasitic drain on the battery you'll need
A 12v test light
A digital multimeter or ammeter.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Hook the test light up between the cable and the negative battery post. see if the light lights up. if it does then you now know there is a drain on the battery unplug fuses until you find the one that shuts it off. That circuit will be the causing your problem.
If it doesn't light the light up unhook it and hook up the multimeter in amp mode. The draw should be less than half an amp. even with the full electronics package.
question, that one wire in the back of the alt goes straight to the battery right :?:
As far as I know it does...8)
Actually, the 2 thick white wires do some weired loop-dee-loop thing and hook back into each other and split off and some other bull shit... But they never really go to any other system other than the battery. So yes, the wire coming off the back of the alternator goes directly to the battery.
