Just wonderin,

Whats the most any of you's have advances your ignition timing? I know advancing it a little gives a little more power/fuel economy, but over-advancing it causes all sorts of problems.........i aint too fussed tho, as my new engine will be coming very soon!

A couple degrees will help, but be warned you WILL need to use better fuel. Since the stock is mild you can probably go as many as 7 degrees, but I would not do more than 3-5 degrees. 8)

well i advanced it about 6 degrees more than it was (2deg) with the vacume hose disconnetced, so in total about 8-10deg advance at idle, and it goes much better now. Not necesarily more power, but definately smoother and feels less (quote Neb) "doughy"....
