Hi,

Can anyone show me a picture of an injector of a CA18Et? I think there is something wrong with the ones on my car, but I have to see one first before I begin working on it. Thanks

Come on guys! I can't believe this! Is there nobody who has a picture of a Ca18ET injector?

i'll try to get you one.. but until then what probs are you having

You are too kind, Bart!

My engine turns very bad on idle rpm. I checked everything and didn't find anything!
The other day I replaced an engine from an other car, and when I removed the injectors a saw there was a little plastic cap on the front of it. The cap was burned and that caused the engine from bad turning.
I think now that I have the same problem with mine! Is this possible?

If that little cap is burned or damaged it will cause a vacuum leak and make your car run badly at idle. You could try to get your hands on a mechanics stethescope and check for hissing around your injectors. Probably a good idea to check vacuum lines for the same thing. Hope that helps

this what you are looking for?

this what you are looking for?

No, but thanks anyway. I'm looking for a picture of the whole injector itself.

@ Ugly: I agree with that. But the question is: does a CA18Et injector have such a little plastic cap?

bartc_jdate not saved · #8

ya it has a plastci cap but i bet you that the small rubber o-ring that seals the injector in the manifold is craked or broken and that would cause the prob.. get some lighter fluid and squirt some near the injectors and see if the idle jumps up if it does then its the o-ring..

I'm certainly gonna try this one! Thx!
