hey guys,

i have a problem. when ever i turn a corner and give it some gas "wot" in first gear it will bog and backfire untill i release gas.

my a/f gauge is almost always on rich. if im rich what is causing this problem and how can i solve it?

Ive got the same problem still trying to find the problem:wall: , whats your gas consumtion like, things to check are vac leaks, temp sens, leaky injectors, MAF, O2 sensor faulty

bad o2... or temp sensor... could also be a bad fpr pushing way too much fuel and basically flooding, in a way, the car making it way too rich

Where is the temp sensor located?

On top of the intake manifold right behind where the thermostat housing bolts up, and right next to the nipple where the coolant line from the turbo ends up.
It's has a small, square 2 wire plug connected to it.....and it screws into the intake mani. Also it's right next to the TVV which is another sensor that screw in, and this one has the 2 vaccum lines connections on it.

but this isnt located on all ca18et's i dont have this particular sensor and ive seen one other ca18et without it

Another thing is, when i start my car on a cold start the idle will go high like 2500rpm and sometimes climb to 3000rpm. can this be a faulty Air Regulator thats causing my rich/bad idle problems? Or, can the o2/temp sensors affect idle aswell?

So this only ever happens when you turn a corner? If so, it sounds like the "turning a corner" bit may be the key to working out the problem. Does it matter which way you turn? Does it only happen in 1st?

The tvv is an emission part, not all the cars will have it. Or it was removed with the corrasponding emissons parts. Like EGR and I think the Evap is hooked to it to, but I can't remember and am to lazy to look it up right now.
