OMG!!!!
Im goin kinda crazy with this.! ok, my problem is my car tempature...:(
my car keeps getting really hot tempature. When i start it, it will be fine at first then after like 15-20 mins it will start climbing slowly towards H = Hot!
Today, i Changed Radiator Cap, Thermostat, Added an elec fan, and i was running low on anti freeze so i put some anti freeze on.
After i did all of this, the car takes longer to reach boiling point. But, it still climbs after about 30 mins slowly.
I dont know what else to do....! can someone plz help me!!!? :(
Also, which way is the fan suppose to blow? towards the radiator or towards the block?

Your electric fan IF mounted inside the engine bay should pull air through the rad and blow towards the motor. If it's mounted outside the engine bay it should push air through the rad towards the engine.
Does it get hot while driving at hwy speeds or standing still for a prolonged periods of time?
If it gets hot at hwy speeds then more than likely you have a clogged rad.
If it gets hot while sitting still then it's a fan problem.
You can get a brand new rad. from 1-800-radiator for about $120-$130 and it comes with a lifetime warranty. Thats where I got mine and it's perfect. Direct replacement.
Also another thing that will help bring the temps down is run 25% coolant and 75% distilled water along with Redline Water Wetter.
I just did this with mine, and now the temp gauge stays between the halfway mark, and the C. This is with a 180 thermostat and driving in 100-105 degree temps!!. Where as with a 50/50 mix the gauge was always at the halfway mark.
could also just get a 160degree thermo...
well, i have my elec fan mounted on my radiator and it blows towards teh engine.
It gets warm either standing/or driving. if i let it sit there it will get warm slowly. but it will get all they way warm. if i drive it will do the same just a bit faster.
I dont wanna blow 130$ on a radiator if thats not the problem.
also, when i installed the thermostat, the spring part goes into the block right?
my SE was doing the EXACT same thing.. i swaped out everything,.. hoses, radiator cap, thermostat, waterpump.. and then turned out to be the radiator..
Sounds like a clogged and/or restricted rad. to me. Take it to a rad shop and have them test it for you to find out for sure.

I ran a 160 tstat in mine for about the first 5 years I had it. The car ran rich as shit, and the needle on the temp gauge never moved off the C........bad idea in my opinion.
Is there anyway to tell when the waterpump is gone bad?
I think as long as the pump is not leaking and turns freely it's good. Although depending how old it is, and if you use normal tap water in your mix will depend on how healthy it is. It should be replaced every 60,000 miles or so, and a good time to do it is when the timing belt is replaced.
Slip the belt off of the pump's pulley and see if it rotates freely.
If the water pump is bad water will most likely leak from the bottom of it.
A bad waterpump will leak and then when there's little or no coolant then overheat. look at your radiator to see if it's goodI would think that's the most likely thing said so far.
i have an 85 turbo and i know that turbo cars tend to run hotter than na cars. anyways my questions this... i have a digital dash and at hwy speeds and at complete stops it stays in between C and H (always). Unless i drive at normal roadway speeds then it goes down a 2 bars... is that normal temperature?
