how different is the S12 IRS to the Z31 IRS??
does anyone know the actual variations between the 2?
I have got a quote from K-mac for a camber&toe correction kit for the Z31 rear end for $295 <--- AUS. If its a bolt in to the S12, i think its worthwile buying.

IRS ------- S12 and Z31 differences??

The guy working on my car atm has a z31 and said that its basically the same. I think he said the rear control arm mounting points to the chassis are different.
I may get this..... but then again for some drift/track use a bit of rear neg wouldnt be too bad. :RTFM:
weird i too just got a quote from kmac for the z31 camber kit, he said they also make an s12 kit and that its diff.... i told him i think they are the same.....
The rear sway bars are the same, and the rear shocks are the same too...As well as the diffs being interchangable, so this leads me to believe that the kit is interchangable between the Z31, and the S12...however if they make a kit for the S12, I would go with it instead, that way it shows that these cars still exist...8)
good point, but he said the kits are not the same.... thats the scary part, im not sure if its the same car, its listed under "200sx,s13,s14,s15 1984-1998"
and he told me the 200sx had upper control arms or something, and we all know this is not the case.....
They are identical. I used the trailing arm, hub, disk, caliper, brakeline, halfshaft, everything on the passanger side. Everything bolted up the same.
After a bad drifting incident I had to replace everything on the rear passenger side. (Its kinda hard to find an SE 5 lug in a junk yard.) Its a whole lot easier to find 300zx (z31) though.
I think the guys at kmac think a s12 is the same as a s13 as they tried to sell me s13 springs for my silvia
they call silvias, 200sx's in Aussie Land... there may lay the confusion.. pehaps the s12 was denoted something else there...

I thought they were called the Gazelle in Australia...
