when a friend and i tried to remove the crankshaft pulley Screw. The screw wouldnt come off for a while so everytime we torqued it left to lossen it the car would move back. It involved strength but wasnt that hard to move it.

Is this a sign of loss compression? Or, is it that our ca18et's are that easy to turn the crank?

So let me get this straight... You guys are trying to get the crank pulley bolt off and when you try to loosen it you're putting in so much force as to actually roll the car backwards!!!? I'm assuming the car's in gear or something and your parking brake doesn't work

dude if it's on that tight there's ONLY TWO WAYS to get it off PEACEFULLY. One involves the starter and is ghetto. The other is your good friend the impact wrench.

No I don't think you have low compression if you're able to move a car that's in gear while trying to loosen the bolt. Is your name clark kent?
