Hey, I'm about to replace my front wheel bearings but I had a few questions before I start. Like the majority of us I'm broke, so....
Are our bearings pressed in?
How hard is it to remove the hub?
What is the torque setting on the nut?
How would you rate the difficulty of this repair?
I haven't had to do wheel bearings thanks for any input.

The wheel bearing nut torque is 18 to 22 ft/lbs. That info is from the FSM. Not sure if it would be different for the SE V6 model but i doubt it. It's also a 26mm nut. Wheel bearings are a piece of cake, not very difficult at all.

thanks guys, and extra thanks for the info on the 26mm nut. (thats not something someone has in their everyday toolbox @home) Better just do this at my shop. lifts and impacts will make it mutch easier :)

Yeah I had to go buy a 26mm socket myself when I did mine......and you don't really need an impact wrench for that nut, especially for 20 ft pounds, and a cotter pin.
The hardest part of the job for me was getting out the old bearing cups since I didn't have a press......other than that it was prety simple

I see now where bart gets his tie rods from. Been wondering where he gets them cuz there not in any hardware store around here.
